Mark J. McPherson
Position: Member
Mr. McPherson received his undergraduate degree
from St. Peter's College and his law degree from Seton Hall University
School of Law. Mr. McPherson is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association
(Environmental and Health and Hospitals law sections), and is a member
of Hudson and Bergen County Bar Associations. Mr. McPherson's areas
of concentration include environmental insurance coverage litigation,
complex commercial litigation, and healthcare and hospital law.
Mr. McPherson has represented various clients, including small businesses,
municipalities and Fortune 500 companies, in complex, multisite, multistate
environmental insurance coverage actions. In addition, Mr. McPherson
has represented clients in insurance coverage disputes involving medical
benefits under ERISA health plans, Directors & Officers policies, liquor
liability policies and products liability policies. Mr. McPherson is
the moderator of InsurLaw, an on-line insurance law discussion forum
for lawyers and insurance professionals.
Mr. McPherson also has substantial experience in the evolving field
of healthcare law, from the formation of various managed care healthcare
entities and networks, to advising clients on a wide range of issues
relevant to integrated delivery systems, reimbursement issues, managed
care liability issues, anti-trust concerns, medical malpractice and
healthcare insurance coverage issues. The firm's healthcare clients
have included public and private hospitals, a state-wide medical and
dental university and group practice organizations in a variety of practice
fields.
